25 Years of Wonderful Customers

The years at 3rd St Studio have flown by. I don't know where all the years went until I see all the boxes of negatives, you know those things you

used for photos before digital. Or, the stack of Hard Drives, CD's, and DVD's that gets larger every year. But still, it has gone fast and the relationships

we have gained over the years with our loyal customers has been tremendous. It is our very lives we have shared together as your families grew.

We shared many laughs, happy times, and highlights as well as a few tears. We have tried to capture those times in images that stay close to your heart

and remind you of the days gone by. I am a chronic sentamentalist and I suppose the very reason I am a photographer.

And so, the years keep charging by and our children and loved ones continue to grow and change finds us all.

We could not be here for 25 years if not for the loyalty of our wonderful customers. It is a blessing every business owner prays and works for.

So, as a way to break out of the winter slumber and begin to seek out warmer greener days we have sent out 100 Gift Cards to our most

faithful and favorite customers offering free photography for any type of portrait - (NO Sitting Fees)- and generous discounts for all prints

and frames as well. Included in some of these cards will be another discount coupon for an additional gift.

We have limited the cards sent out to 100. We know that this may not be the best time for you to have portraits done so we have made the cards

transferable to any of your friends or family. The additional coupon inside is not transferable. The specials all run through April 30th.

If for any reason you think we missed you please let us know. Peoples addresses change over the years and we may have the wrong address on file.

Please call or email  cvm3rdst@gmail.com with any questions. We have some new products and some new backgrounds that we think you'll like.

And, we have NOT raised any prices prior to this promotion. This might be the perfect time to update some portraits or celebrate an anniversary.

We hope we see you. If you think you want to take advantage of this offer please call soon as times may be limited, especially weekends.

If you just want to call and talk that's OK too. Most importantly we want everyone to know that we can never thank you enough for the last wonderful

25 years, and that we treasure our times spent together, always.

Happy Holidays

Its hard to believe this is our 25th year of creating images for Holiday giving. Many infants we photographed in our early years are now parents themselves.

The portraits we did all those years ago are for the very same reasons we do them today. To give and share our precious memories with our loved ones. I bet many of those images from 25 years ago are being enjoyed today.

The Holidays are exciting for children. Most everyone has great memories of Xmas regardless of their age.

Who doesn't remember getting up early and running to the Xmas tree in hopes of finding the very thing you prayed for Santa to bring you. Well, its that time of year again and kids love it. Presents, cookies, parties, and no school !

We've been busy and lucky enough to photograph some beautiful kids and families for gift giving this 25th Holiday Season at 3rd St. Studio. Its more rewarding now than ever. We are photographing infants of infants we created images of many years ago. We feel very "Blessed" and extremely thankful.

Some of our children have four legs but we still love them.

I thought it would be nice to share some of the portraits we've taken recently. Many images we can't post because they are surprises for loved ones.

Debbie and I want to wish everyone a Warm and Happy Holiday Season, especially for our customers that have shared their lives with us over the years and let us share ours with them.  2009 might have been a tough year for many people but we have good feelings about 2010.

Enjoy your family and friends and pray for the men and women overseas fighting for our freedom who wont be with their loved ones this year.

Happy New Year !

My Summer Vacation

I was lucky enough to get a long weekend off last month. It was my first weekend off in August in many years and I went somewhere I've never been, namely, Cape Cod. As I flew into Boston I was able to get a glimpse of Boston Harbor with many skyscrapers filling the background.

The weather was perfect and so was the place I stayed, thanks to the invitation and generosity of an old boyhood friend from Allegany.

A couple of old classmates joined us for some golf and conversation and the weekend could not have been better. I think I actually relaxed.

The beach is about a 30 second "sandy walk" from the beach house and you can smell the salty air from the first step.

Where there isn't beach there is sprawling marshland that is just as beautiful and home to many types of birds and wildlife.

Besides the great company, the best part of the trip was the golf. We played at the Woods Hole Golf Club that has a heritage dating back to the 19th Century. I could try to explain the beauty of the 17th Hole but the image below will do a much better job.

Seniors and Facebook

Some seniors have asked about using their photos on facebook or other websites. If you ask I will gladly email you the file or put it/them on a CD for you if the images are part of your collection or ordered as an extra. The only requirements we ask is that you ask when you make your order or at the latest, when you pick your order up and, that our logo remains on the front of our images, similar to how they are on the blog. I will enhance the images for use on the web. Please ask if you have any questions about this. We want to make it possible for you to use your images with the best possible quality so they are displayed perfectly, easily, and legally. Please do not copy or scan any of your images. We are here to help.

We want to thank all of the seniors that came in this past summer and hope you had as much fun as we did. Everyone was great.

No More Rain....please

This has surely been the rainiest summer I ever remember. This years seniors have been patient and we have gotten lucky with our outdoor portraits. Rain or shine we have taken some beautiful outdoor portraits this year and still are almost everyday.

Even if we get rained out there are so many backgrounds to choose from in the studio. If it rains on your shooting day and you had your heart set on outdoor portraits we will just reschedule your outdoor session and but take your studio shots on your original scheduled time and date.

I hope these portraits show the variety of looks we offer. All you need to bring is some of your favorite clothes and an open mind. Patience and a good sense of humor doesn't hurt. Its mostly fun - just ask any of our seniors. Call soon, summer is slipping away.

I'm taking the weekend off and traveling to Cape Cod. I've traveled all over the world but never there. I'm getting together with some old High School buddies for some golf and relaxation. Even though I've taken thousands of photos this summer I'll try to take a few more this weekend.

Allegany,Olean,Bolivar-Richburg,Ellicottville,Port Allegany Senior Portraits

We have been lucky enough to provide Seniors from all over the area with professional portraits. Somehow we seem to photograph more girls than guys and sometimes people ask why do you show more girl photos than guys so, today I'm going to show more guy portraits than girls. These are all recent portraits.

When quality matters 3rd St Studio is your best choice.

We have 3 different ways for you to choose your photos. We provide Seniors with thumbnail prints of all your images you have to choose from. We also post all of your proofs online so everyone in your family can view them. And, we show them to you at the studio on a large screen TV.

We want to make it as convenient as we can for you because we know how busy families are these days.

Time is flying by. Call soon if you have any questions or want to get some awesome Senior Portraits

Some Recent Seniors

I wish there were more hours in a day and one only needed a couple of hours of sleep to survive. So goes my excuse for not posting some recent portraits. We are busy photographing 2010 Seniors and all of the students have been great. If anyone is on the fence about booking their Senior Portraits don't worry - we will get you in. If you have any questions please call or email cvm3rdst@gmail.com .

Photographing Seniors, or anyone is not difficult, but to achieve once in a lifetime images takes a lot of skill and patience. We will not rush through your photo session and any of our Seniors will tell you that. If anyone ever feels rushed I hope they would tell me. Please feel free to bring in props and if your not sure bring it anyway. If your bringing a pet please let us know in advance. Really not sure - just ask!

I hate to admit this, but it is our 25th year in a row of photographing Seniors. We have seen it all and worked hard at staying at the forefront of the latest  technologies. Also,we are not raising any of our prices this year as we are aware of the many hardships some families are encountering (At least the gas prices are alot better than last summer).     We strive to make our service as great as your portraits.

Every year we see more and more talented Seniors. We were honored to be chosen by many local Valedictorian and Salutatorian Seniors as their Senior Portait Photographer in 2009. It's nice to know some of the hardest working students are choosing 3rd St studio.

If you need to see our price list please go to our news page on our website and you can click on the link at the bottom. There are very few photographers that will post their complete price list but we know our prices are excellent for the quality of work you will get. Also, there is a coupon available for July Seniors. Call soon  716-372-5104
