I was lucky enough to get a long weekend off last month. It was my first weekend off in August in many years and I went somewhere I've never been, namely, Cape Cod. As I flew into Boston I was able to get a glimpse of Boston Harbor with many skyscrapers filling the background.
The weather was perfect and so was the place I stayed, thanks to the invitation and generosity of an old boyhood friend from Allegany.
A couple of old classmates joined us for some golf and conversation and the weekend could not have been better. I think I actually relaxed.

The beach is about a 30 second "sandy walk" from the beach house and you can smell the salty air from the first step.

Where there isn't beach there is sprawling marshland that is just as beautiful and home to many types of birds and wildlife.

Besides the great company, the best part of the trip was the golf. We played at the Woods Hole Golf Club that has a heritage dating back to the 19th Century. I could try to explain the beauty of the 17th Hole but the image below will do a much better job.

Some seniors have asked about using their photos on facebook or other websites. If you ask I will gladly email you the file or put it/them on a CD for you if the images are part of your collection or ordered as an extra. The only requirements we ask is that you ask when you make your order or at the latest, when you pick your order up and, that our logo remains on the front of our images, similar to how they are on the blog. I will enhance the images for use on the web. Please ask if you have any questions about this. We want to make it possible for you to use your images with the best possible quality so they are displayed perfectly, easily, and legally. Please do not copy or scan any of your images. We are here to help.
We want to thank all of the seniors that came in this past summer and hope you had as much fun as we did. Everyone was great.

This has surely been the rainiest summer I ever remember. This years seniors have been patient and we have gotten lucky with our outdoor portraits. Rain or shine we have taken some beautiful outdoor portraits this year and still are almost everyday.

Even if we get rained out there are so many backgrounds to choose from in the studio. If it rains on your shooting day and you had your heart set on outdoor portraits we will just reschedule your outdoor session and but take your studio shots on your original scheduled time and date.

I hope these portraits show the variety of looks we offer. All you need to bring is some of your favorite clothes and an open mind. Patience and a good sense of humor doesn't hurt. Its mostly fun - just ask any of our seniors. Call soon, summer is slipping away.
I'm taking the weekend off and traveling to Cape Cod. I've traveled all over the world but never there. I'm getting together with some old High School buddies for some golf and relaxation. Even though I've taken thousands of photos this summer I'll try to take a few more this weekend.
We have been lucky enough to provide Seniors from all over the area with professional portraits. Somehow we seem to photograph more girls than guys and sometimes people ask why do you show more girl photos than guys so, today I'm going to show more guy portraits than girls. These are all recent portraits.

When quality matters 3rd St Studio is your best choice.

We have 3 different ways for you to choose your photos. We provide Seniors with thumbnail prints of all your images you have to choose from. We also post all of your proofs online so everyone in your family can view them. And, we show them to you at the studio on a large screen TV.
We want to make it as convenient as we can for you because we know how busy families are these days.

Time is flying by. Call soon if you have any questions or want to get some awesome Senior Portraits
I wish there were more hours in a day and one only needed a couple of hours of sleep to survive. So goes my excuse for not posting some recent portraits. We are busy photographing 2010 Seniors and all of the students have been great. If anyone is on the fence about booking their Senior Portraits don't worry - we will get you in. If you have any questions please call or email cvm3rdst@gmail.com .

Photographing Seniors, or anyone is not difficult, but to achieve once in a lifetime images takes a lot of skill and patience. We will not rush through your photo session and any of our Seniors will tell you that. If anyone ever feels rushed I hope they would tell me. Please feel free to bring in props and if your not sure bring it anyway. If your bringing a pet please let us know in advance. Really not sure - just ask!
I hate to admit this, but it is our 25th year in a row of photographing Seniors. We have seen it all and worked hard at staying at the forefront of the latest technologies. Also,we are not raising any of our prices this year as we are aware of the many hardships some families are encountering (At least the gas prices are alot better than last summer). We strive to make our service as great as your portraits.

Every year we see more and more talented Seniors. We were honored to be chosen by many local Valedictorian and Salutatorian Seniors as their Senior Portait Photographer in 2009. It's nice to know some of the hardest working students are choosing 3rd St studio.

As we start our 25th year in a row of photographing H.S. Seniors we have never provided a better product for our clients. For the Seniors looking for outstanding images that capture the spirit of your personality you should at least check us out and all that we offer. If you have any ideas or locations you think would make for great images don't be afraid to ask.
If you like variety we can do that to. Wondering what it all will cost?- just go to our website and click on the news page. At the bottom is a PDF link to our entire price list and the current coupon offer.

One offer you can only get by reading this blog would be "one free outfit change" for all Seniors photographed by July 2nd. You must say "you saw it on the blog" and it must be done during your regularly scheduled appointment. If you see anything that you would like that isn't on our price list just ask. We can't put everything on our price list and some things you have to see to appreciate.

Need photos for your facebook or myspace page. For every image in your order I will provide that image for you enhanced specifically for the web on a CD. The only thing we ask is that you limit the usage of that image for the web. Your happiness is our goal.

We did not increase our prices this year even though our costs are up. We didn't feel it was a good idea in light of the economy. Gas and food prices keep going up and many families are cutting back. We work with our customers the best we can and even set up payment plans if necessary. We haven't been in business this long because we don't care about our customers. Ask anyone about our service.

Time is flying by so call soon, even if you want to come by just to visit the studio. Our best coupons are in June and July.
